Are you looking for a lawyer with experience at the highest levels of Texas government—who has worked for the regulator and been on the other side? What about a lawyer that has worked in a regulated industry—who can appreciate your business imperatives and budgetary constraints? Then look no further.
As Texas Deputy Attorney General for Civil Litigation, I was responsible for initiating, approving, negotiating, and settling investigations for violations of Texas Antitrust, Consumer Protection, and Civil Medicaid Fraud laws. I also represented Texas state agencies in litigation to enforce Texas environmental, health & safety, and tax laws.
As Senior Regulatory Counsel for a telecommunications company, I was responsible for litigating rates and access to new markets in 13 states—with an insignificant outside counsel budget. I know first-hand that regulatory action can derail a business model, and that you have finite resources to ensure against that.
Fighting in the trenches and directing the troops on both sides of the battlefield has given me the experience, insight, and perspective to safely guide your company through the fog of regulatory war.
