Civil Investigative Demands

To know your enemy, you must become your enemy

As Deputy Attorney General for Civil Litigation, Bill Cobb supervised and directed the 150 Assistant Attorneys General in the Civil Medicaid Fraud, Consumer Protection/Antitrust, Environmental Protection, and Financial Litigation Divisions, who are authorized to issue Civil Investigative Demands. This experience gives Cobb deep and direct knowledge of the Attorney General’s significant power to compel compliance with its Civil Investigative Demands, as well as the limits on that power.  Cobb currently represents both individuals and corporations in responding to Civil Investigative Demands (CID) issued by the Texas Attorney General.  For more information about responding to Civil Investigative Demands, click here.
